Well, seeing how people have been doing these "my deviantArt story" thingys, I guess it's my turn to tell the tale. *clears throat briefly*

Much like most of you guys here, I "discovered" the site when my friend Kat (nickname, not going to say her full name) told me about how some of her art stuff was coming up on here. I was curious because at the time, FanFiction.Net and FictionPress.Com were the only websites I had known contained people who published their works. Even so, none of them were art. They were all words expressed in black against a white screen (this was before they added in settings that allowed you to change the backlight and the font size, that's how long ago it was!) with no art at all.

And so, being the Asian version of Alice I was, I checked it out. At first, it was just to see her stuff. Really, Kat was the only person I knew on here and was brave enough to look through, artwork-wise (okay pervs, NOT THAT WAY!!!). After uploading a picture of an Elementalist character (Virginia Flowings, will probably write about her soon), I basically just abandoned the account.

(I know, bad deviant, bad deviant, please spare the lectures for the comments.)

Then I joined a volunteer organization and found that the person I was essentially buddy-buddy with, Josie (kill me later Josie, just don't want your mum to freak out completely!), was also ANOTHER deviant! Well, a writing deviant, that is. Now THAT I didn't know about.

So I got inspired to upload all of the Elementalists stuff I had written down a while back onto here, especially since this crowd seems more friendly and I actually would like to try publishing works in a place besides FF, FP, and Wattpad (a then-recent writing endevear). Then I decided to look around, excavate the writing and drawing community, and keep self-talking myself into making this profile more... lively, I suppose you can say.

Now it's been four years and I do not regret making this account. I have met many awesome artists (in different aspects) and found wonderful works that I am proud to favorite. Now, here's to staying on this account in the future! *raises glass of apple juice*
